Sell glass verandas with a price that updates while the buyer designs

A glass roof veranda configurator works with a roof pitch of 0–15°, standard sizes of 3×3, 4×3 and 4×4 m, or custom dimensions between 2–8 m wide and 2–5 m deep. Each of the three open sides is closed independently from fourteen infill types, and the price recalculates continuously from the dimension grid and the chosen sides.

A glass roof is the most expensive and the most requested veranda variant: it keeps the terrace usable all year without darkening the room behind it. Sales usually stalls on the combination of size, side glazing and glass tint. The configurator joins those three into one design and attaches a price that both sales and the buyer can see.

What buyers can configure

Dimensions: The standard grid of 3×3, 4×3 and 4×4 m, or custom dimensions: 2–8 m wide, 2–5 m deep, 2.4–3 m high.
Side glazing: Fourteen closing types per side — from an open side through screen rolos and louvres to sliding, fixed, frameless and guillotine glass.
Second layer per side: Every side can take a second infill, typically a screen rolo in front of sliding glass.
Glass and colours: Nine glazing tints, a RAL structure colour, a separate infill colour and a custom RGB shade.
Lighting and equipment: Square, round or strip LEDs in sets of 6, 8, 10 or 12, edge lighting, heaters and water or electrical outlets by position.

What the engine validates

Pitch capped at 15°: The glass roof tilts up to 15°; the louvered and fabric verandas reach 25°.
Model-filtered size grid: Standard sizes are filtered by model — the glass veranda offers 3×3, 4×3 and 4×4 m, while other sizes belong to other models.
Automatic middle posts: Above 4 m of width a middle post is inserted between the outer posts; the buyer sees it in 3D and cannot omit it.
The back side is a wall: On a house-mounted build the back side is the facade, so it is never offered as closable.

What changes the price

Dimension grid: The base price comes from a width × depth bracket; crossing into the next bracket raises the price in a step, not linearly.
Roof model: The glass roof is the most expensive model and forms the base that everything else is added to.
Side closures: Infill prices differ by type — screen rolos, louvres, a solid aluminium wall and sliding glass each carry their own per-side price.
Second layer and tinting: An additional infill on a side and tinted glazing are charged on top of the base infill.
Lights, heaters and services: The number of lights, heaters and outlets plus warranty, transport and installation all enter the total.

What buyers and sales receive

For the buyer: A live price during the design, a 3D model and a PDF quotation with an itemised breakdown.
For sales: A configuration with model, dimensions, per-side infills, equipment and the calculated price.
A shareable link: The whole configuration is encoded in the URL, so sales opens exactly the design the buyer built.

Frequently asked questions

What pitch does a glass roof allow?+

Anything from 0° to 15°. That is narrower than the louvered and fabric verandas, which reach 25°, because glass is heavier and a steeper fall would change the structure.

Which dimensions are available?+

Standard sizes are 3×3, 4×3 and 4×4 m. For anything else the buyer switches to custom dimensions: 2–8 m wide, 2–5 m deep and 2.4–3 m high.

How is the price calculated?+

The width × depth bracket forms the base; the roof model, per-side infills, second layers, lights, heaters, outlets and services are added on top. It recalculates on every change.

Does the buyer have to close every side?+

No. Each of the three open sides may stay open or take a different infill; mixing glass, louvres and screens on one build is normal.

Does the middle post appear automatically?+

Yes. Above 4 m of width it is inserted automatically so the structure matches a realistic span. The buyer can also add their own posts at chosen positions.

Can a screen be added in front of sliding glass?+

Yes, through the second infill layer on the same side. It appears in the price as a separate line.
