Sell glass patio roofs without giving up the view

A glass patio roof configurator works at a pitch adjustable up to 15° with a standard grid of 4×3, 4×4, 5×3, 5×4, 6×3 and 6×4 m; custom dimensions reach 8 m wide and 5 m deep. Compared with a veranda it is a simpler assembly aimed at covering an existing terrace — nine glazing tints, with side infills that can be added at any point.

A glass patio roof sells on the claim that it will not take the view away. That claim cannot be verified in a photograph, because every terrace is different. The configurator builds the roof over the buyer’s own dimensions, lets them switch the glass tint and shows immediately how the light underneath — and the price — changes.

01

What buyers can configure

Dimensions
The standard grid of 4×3, 4×4, 5×3, 5×4, 6×3 and 6×4 m, or custom dimensions: 2–8 m wide, 2–5 m deep, 2.4–3 m high.
Glazing tint
Nine tints from clear to tinted — brown, grey, green, blue and more.
Side closures
The terrace can stay fully open, or any side can take one of fourteen infills, second layer included.
Structure colour
RAL structure shades and a separate infill colour, plus a custom RGB shade.
Lighting and equipment
LED sets of 6 to 12 units, edge lighting, heaters and water or electrical outlets.
02

What the engine validates

Pitch capped at 15°
Patio roofs stop at 15°; the wider 0–25° range belongs to the louvered and fabric verandas.
Shared patio size grid
All three patio models share the same standard sizes from 4×3 to 6×4 m.
Middle posts above 4 m
A middle post is added above 4 m of width; the buyer may place further posts themselves.
Additional post collisions
Custom posts cannot be placed where they would overlap the existing structure.
03

What changes the price

Dimension bracket
The width × depth bracket forms the base; moving from 5×4 to 6×4 m steps into a higher bracket.
Roof model
The glass patio roof carries the highest model base of the three patio variants.
Side infills
An open terrace costs nothing extra; every added infill carries its own per-side price.
Tinting and second layer
Tinted glazing and an additional infill are charged on top of the base choice.
Equipment and services
Lights, heaters, outlets, warranty, transport and installation follow your price list.

Frequently asked questions

How does a patio roof differ from a veranda?+

It runs on the same engine but on its own model: the pitch stops at 15° and the standard sizes form a shared 4×3 to 6×4 m grid. Veranda models carry different sizes, and the louvered and fabric variants reach 25°.

Does a glass patio roof have to be closed in?+

No. A patio roof is typically sold open; infills can be added later or only on the windward side.

How does the glass tint show up?+

It changes directly in the 3D scene, so the buyer sees the difference in light under the roof before committing to clear or tinted glazing.

Does the configurator calculate a price?+

Yes. Pricing comes from the dimension bracket, the roof model, infills and equipment, and it recalculates on every change.

Can custom posts be added?+

Yes, at chosen positions. The configurator checks that they do not collide with the structure, and automatic middle posts appear above 4 m of width.
