Sell louvered fences with a price calculated while designing

An aluminium louvered fence configurator works with a Z-profile whose blades overlap, so the fence blocks the view while air still passes. That is exactly why this type offers no gap setting — the gap is fixed by the profile geometry. The buyer enters the lengths of up to four sides, the height, gates and colour, and the price is computed from panel, gate and post brackets.

A louvered fence sells on "you cannot see in, but it is not a wall". The buyer cannot guess what it costs for their own boundary, and sales cannot quote until the side lengths and gate count are known. The configurator resolves both in one step: the boundary is drawn, panels are counted and the price appears.

What buyers can configure

Boundary and sides
A straight run, an L, a U or a closed perimeter — one to four sides, each from 1.8 to 30 m long.
Panel height and width
Standard heights of 600 to 2,000 mm or a custom height of 400–3,000 mm; panel widths of 1,800, 1,900 or 2,000 mm.
Panel layout
Economical mode maximises full-width panels and fills the remainder; equal mode divides the side into identical bays.
Posts and anchoring
Aluminium posts or the buyer’s own concrete posts (100–500 mm wide), flat, dome or pyramid caps, and in-ground, surface or face mounting.
Gates
Up to two gates per side: single 900 or 1,000 mm, double and sliding 3,000–4,000 mm, with a post box, motorisation or an electric lock.
Colour
RAL presets and the full RAL palette, or a wood-look finish, with a custom shade available.

What the engine validates

No gap setting
The Z-profile overlaps, so the configurator does not display a gap control for this design at all.
Four sides maximum
The boundary closes with at most four sides; a further side would overlap the run.
Post profile upgrade by height
Above 1,500 mm the post profile is reinforced automatically; above 2,000 mm this profile is no longer offered.
Gate widths are discrete
A gate does not stretch to an arbitrary dimension — it is chosen from the price-list widths for its type.
Concrete posts drop the anchoring choice
When the buyer supplies their own concrete posts, the mounting-method option disappears.

What changes the price

Panel count and size
A panel price comes from the design × max width × max height bracket; a longer side means more panels.
Fence type
The louvered Z-profile carries its own base price, separate from slat, picket and solid fences.
Posts, caps and anchoring
Post count follows panel count and corner sharing; caps and the mounting method are charged separately.
Gates and their equipment
A gate price comes from the type × width × height bracket; post box, motorisation and electric lock are added.
Mounting hardware
Brackets and fixings are counted per panel.

For sales
A per-side breakdown with lengths, panel and post counts, gate types, colour and the calculated price.
A shareable link

Frequently asked questions

Why can I not set a gap on a louvered fence?+

The Z-profile is shaped so neighbouring blades overlap. The gap is therefore a property of the profile rather than a buyer choice, and the configurator does not offer it.

How is the panel count calculated?+

From the side length and the chosen panel width. Economical mode maximises full panels and fills the remainder; equal mode divides the side into identical bays.

Can the buyer use their own concrete posts?+

Yes. Their width is set between 100 and 500 mm and the configurator then prices panels and hardware only. The mounting-method choice drops out in that case.

How many gates can be placed?+

At most two per side. Each carries its own type, a width from the price-list values, a position along the side and an opening direction.

Is the price exact?+

It comes from price-list brackets, so it is exact within the data you supply. You decide whether the buyer sees it or whether it goes to sales only.
